At Jonkdesign, we are deeply committed to making a positive impact on the environment. Over the past six months, we’ve been on a mission to fund tree planting projects across the globe and support vital carbon avoidance initiatives.

Here’s a look at the remarkable strides we’ve taken towards a greener, more sustainable future

Planting Trees for a Lush Tomorrow

We’ve proudly contributed to the planting of 210 trees across nine diverse projects, spanning from the heart of Africa to the coastal shores of Madagascar and Mozambique. Our tree planting projects include forest restoration in Kenya, mangrove planting in Madagascar, rejuvenation of Gewocha Forest in Ethiopia, and so much more. Each tree is a symbol of hope, contributing to the restoration of ecosystems and the fight against climate change.

Reducing Carbon Emissions through Verified Projects

Our commitment extends beyond tree planting. We’ve actively supported eight verified carbon avoidance projects designed to prevent the emission of 4.5 tCO2e. These projects span the globe, from Colombia to Mexico, Kenya to Brazil, and beyond. Our contributions are helping protect vital ecosystems, harness renewable energy sources, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change.

So, what does 4.5 tCO2e actually mean? It’s equivalent to three long-haul flights, saving 14 square meters of precious sea ice, or sparing the Earth from the emissions produced by an 11,165-mile car journey.
